My food obsession goes way back. There’s a scene in the 1981 movie The Four Seasons where Alan Alda and friends whip up an elaborate Chinese meal and eat it with lip-smacking gusto. I used to watch that scene over and over as a kid, and was especially fascinated by Rita Moreno and the vermicelli noodles she kept stuffing into her mouth. (Why I was into a movie about middle-aged couples with marital problems is a mystery.)

That early interest in food and mom’s great home cooking turned me into the adventurous eater I am today.  When I’m not at my day job as a video producer, I love to cook, eat and explore the area food scene. I’m not a food critic or professional chef — just a hungry person always on the lookout for the next tasty bite.  Enjoy the blog!
