The idea of chocolate mixed with a mojito sounded strange to me. So did a chocolate martini — mostly because I’m not a huge fan of martinis. But I’ve become a believer. Just as bacon elevates any food to a higher level, maybe chocolate does too.
I don’t have much to say here except that oh lord are the drinks to die for at the chocolate lounge, Co Co. Sala. I was there enjoying happy hour with a few of the lovely ladies I work with. We shared these cheese fritters and lobster crostini (which somehow I forgot to take a picture of).
And we sampled a few of the homemade chocolates. Props to chocolatier Katie Musser for her great work.
The Co Cojito, a mojito with chocolate-infused vodka, sprinkled with chocolate shavings.
The hint of chocolate is subtle, but it’s clearly there. Awesome drink.
And the malted milk martini.
A cold drink that goes down warm, if that makes any sense. I think it’s the Baileys that transforms it into something comforting and hearty, ideal for a cold night. And again, those chocolate shavings… yum.
Co Co. Sala isn’t far from our office, and I propose that we hold all work meetings there. I’m only half joking.
