It takes the self-discipline of a Buddhist monk to walk into Melt, scope that listing of roasts, inhale the aroma of smoked meats, and NOT order a grilled sandwich.  I mean, cajun spiced pork loin, coffee rubbed beef brisket, black pepper pastrami… they’re killing me, that’s a murderer’s row!

But, you don’t have to go full-on carnivore to enjoy Melt; there are also vegetarian options of grilled pizzas and salads.  Like this one for example (not truly vegetarian — I cheated by getting it with grilled chicken).

That’s the baby spinach salad.  It’s hard to see because the toppings fell to the bottom, but it was loaded with sliced apples, figs, walnuts, diced mango and red onion, and lightly tossed in a sesame ginger vinaigrette.

Great salad — crunchy and satisfying with so many flavors.  I’m a sucker for any salad with fruit in it, and I may have just become a convert to sesame ginger vinaigrette.

So there you go — it is possible to enter Melt and exit without a belly full of smoked pork or beef.  Not easy, mind you. But possible.
