Wanted to spread the word about these two events, both of which benefit great causes:

The first is a wine tasting on November 19th at Vino 100 in White Plains, to benefit Gilda’s Club Westchester.  Gilda’s Club creates communities of emotional and social support for people living with cancer. Here’s the info:

Why: To spread awareness about Gilda’s Club and hopefully raise some funds.

Light snacks will be provided along with raffle prizes! Everything is free, and 20% of all purchases that day will go to Gilda’s. Hosted by the Young Adults Leadership Council (YALC)

PLEASE RSVP to Katie at 914-844-6644 or khughes@gildasclubwestchester.org.

If you have any questions, please contact Karen at martino.karen@gmail.com.

The second event is a contest sponsored by Via Vanti! in Mt. Kisco, benefitting Guiding Eyes for the Blind, an organization that provides guide dogs for the visually impaired.  Come up with a gelato name inspired by your dog (in costume), and have a chance to win a bunch of prizes, including the honor of having a gelato created specially for you and your dog. Proceeds from the $20 entry fee go directly to Guiding Eyes.
