Thanks Cheryl and Michele! It's tough finding good BBQ -- Bailey's sounds like THE place. Might have to get some kind of combo platter of ribs, gumbo and fried chicken, with a side of hot sauce.

I agree with you 100%. Five Guys in Nanuet is great. And Cheryl I agree with you 100%, Bailey's is great. They just added Southern Fried Chicken to their menu. I will need to put my current diet to the side to try it. Have you had it yet? They even put a permanent sign up on the outside wall announcing it. It must be pretty darn good if they've done that, or - I just fall easily for clever advertising...
p.s. if you go to Bailey's and like hot stuff, get a side of the "Screaming Chicken" sauce with your order. It's a full of flavor hot sauce. However, do not order your dish to be prepared with it (like wings), or you will scream like a chicken. A dab or 2 is all you need.

Doug:

Thanks for checking this place out-- enquiring minds want to know!

Next time you are in Rockland, may I suggest that you try Bailey's Smokehouse off of Rte. 303 in Blauvelt? The place kicks butt over any BBQ place in Westchester (homemade potato chips! gumbo du jour! corn souffle!), and the ribs are good too. Go hungry.
