These next two weeks might kill me. As you know, Hudson Valley Restaurant Week just kicked off; the plan is to be all over the place eating and guest blogging for Small Bites. I’ve also got a few other food events to attend. So brace yourself for a slew of (hopefully coherent) restaurants posts.
And if for some reason this is the last you hear from me, you’ll know that either a) my stomach exploded like the “Gluttony” guy in Seven, or b) I developed epic carpal tunnel syndrome and can no longer type. Both are a possibility.
But before we get to all that, a quick post about this cute place I discovered in Larchmont. It’s called Mango Mix, and everything there is 100% organic.

It’s like a lunch spot/cafe, with free WiFi and a cheerful, New Agey decor. You kind of feel healthy just being there. The sort of place where you should walk in with a yoga mat.

Mango Mix will be great in the summer with its salads and energy-boosting smoothies, but what I liked on this day was the lunch special — soup and a half sandwich for $4.95. I went with beef barley and turkey with French brie and honey mustard.

Oh, and this struck me as funny — I checked their website and Mango Mix has two locations: Larchmont and… Aix-en-Provence, France. What’s up with that? It’s like they threw darts at an atlas.
Well, I’m off. Must rest up the mind, stomach and fingers for the gastronomical (and astronomical) challenge ahead. Bring it on.
