Getting Excited for X2O

A quick thanks to Liz Johnson of Small Bites for letting me guest blog last week.  It was a lot of fun, and I certainly didn’t mind the one or two harsh comments.  Hey, that’s the beauty of blogs — everyone has a chance to participate and state an opinion.  As long as you don’t insult my mother or threaten to harm me with wasabi, it’s all good.

In response to those comments about Red Plum, I’ll just say this: Were these the best sushi rolls I’ve ever had?  Absolutely not. If you’re looking for the high, high quality stuff, there are other options in Westchester. But occasionally you pop in somewhere for a quick, inexpensive lunch, and all you want is something simple and tasty to satisfy a craving.  Red Plum fit the bill, and at that particular moment, the sushi rolls suited me just fine.

Changing topics, I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to eat at X2O this coming weekend, a restaurant where my expectations are much higher.  What should I order?  It all looks good.
